Give a physical description of the main character(s) and also a description of their personality. The main character's name is Annabel Greene. She is tall with dark hair. Annabel pretty much keeps to herself because she's afraid of what other people with think of her if she comes out as herself. Another main character is Sophie. She is tall with long, curly, dark hair. She moves into Annabel's neighborhood in the sixth grade. Annabel and Sophie meet at the pool where Sophie acts like she's better that Annabel. When Annabel first meets her, Sophie is wearing a bright orange bikini and platform flip-flops. She is also wearing dark sunglasses.
Does the author use a direct or indirect method of revealing the character? It depends on what character we're talking about. With Sophie, the author just comes out with what she looks like. With Annabel, the author is more subtle about it.

You have a good description of your two main characters. It will be interesting to see if these two become friends. First impressions mean a lot, so if Sophie isn't nice to Annabel it may be tough for them to be friends.
